Meghna Gulzar poetry is a director and writer. She has directed six feature films. Her biopic Chhapaak is based on the life of a survivor of an acid attack. She graduated from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. She has also written her own scripts and made documentary films for Doordarshan. In addition to directing her father's films, Meghna Gulzar also writes and produces documentaries for Doordarshan.

Meghna Gulzar's birthdate is 13 December 1973. She grew up in Mumbai as the daughter of a lyricist. Her parents separated when Meghna was still young. She holds Indian nationality.
